Where the heart is we find ourselves, the secret is in letting go “Every leaf that grows will tell you: what you sow will bear fruit, so if you have any sense my friend, don’t plant anything but Love.” — Rumi
Dream
In a dream I am holding keys to a parked car. Initially I find the car to be unlocked and so I climb inside. Inside I discovered silver dollars and I put some of them in my pocket. When I do, quite suddenly I see more coins that are inside of three boxes that are on the seat of the car. After loading my pockets with as many of the silver coins as I can fit, I plan to carry the rest out of the car in the boxes. As I try to exit the car I discover that the door has locked, it is stuck closed. Though I had the keys to the car at the start, I no longer have them. I’m stuck.
A man walks by on his way to a restaurant where he is to meet his brother. With suspicion, he lets me know that he had been watching me mess around with the car. He then goes inside the restaurant to talk to his brother and straighten the situation out. Inside the restaurant his brother tells him that he had sold the car to me. The first man feels he shouldn’t have done that. The two men come outside to see me. The brother who claims to have sold me the car confirms that he did indeed sell it to me. I understand that the car now belongs to me. There’s some hubbub between them because one brother feels that the other had sold the car out from under him. He was angry that he did not have an opportunity to buy the car. It’s determined that it’s going to take time and energy to figure out the paperwork to clear up the messy transactions related to the sale of the car. The upset brother walks away, after which I tell the remaining brother, the one who sold me the car, that I can’t open it. He responds, “I don’t have the keys to it either.”
I imagine at this point that I’m going to have to do something to get back inside, like break a window. I’m feeling impulsive and determined that I should not call for help. At this point I feel relieved that I am not going to get in trouble even though I can’t definitively understand how I got to where I am. I woke up.

Interpretation
What I take away from the dream is that we flicker in and out of connection. It’s our veiling ourselves from essence that causes this flicker. Initially in the dream about the car I had feared that I may be in trouble and felt that I was about to lose control over the situation. Then in the dream I relax and then I’m worried again, and this back and forth continues in rhythm through the dream.
I also feel this dream is speaking to what affects the heart. In the dream the placement of things is accentuated: keys, coins, and the contract for the car. The dream is showing what we carry inside: trepidation, pressure, and nervous concern around uncomfortable displacements. These kinds of activities and confusions cause the heart to shrink. The heart manifests a vibratory image to correspond with that energetic. There is a net effect in the outer from such energy, a kind of force of nature or energetic action that impacts matter and influences the outer unfoldment.
I see parallels to inner and outer life in the characters and myself in the dream. The outer is represented by my actions and reactions which at time are like those of a thief. This happens when I’m veiled from the realization that I am essence. Troubles caused by amnesia (where are the keys and did I buy this car?) are veils of being anchored in my lower self. In truth there are no actual barriers in my way. In life we make barriers by our ignorance. If we let go we can feel at home with everything.
A force of nature has a penetrative effect. You could say it’s weaponized by mind sense and becomes consequential when it compels the collective consciousness to adjust. An energetic penetrative effect often comes to us when our focus is narrow and limited. We must remember that beyond what we see in the outer reality, is something bigger. We don’t see the whole picture.
For the most part these actions are diffused and assimilated by the collective consciousness as magnetic gravitational energy. If this were not so, if there wasn’t the overall magnetic gravitational collective consciousness, the force of nature would fly out of control and do significant damage in the world and in us. What’s needed is for us to break through time and space and shift into a position in which we can do more with the situation.
A force of nature can be so powerful that it can affect the collective consciousness. We all carry biases in our nature and these express in our mannerism. These biases polarize us either positively or negatively. The degree and skew of these depends upon how we are situated in the collective consciousness. A person who sees himself as separate from the whole is of the opinion that forces of nature are events that are acts of God. If you don’t see the aliveness of Mother Earth our actions work against nature, simple cause and effect. When we live as though Mother Earth is alive and allow ourselves to be inextricably intertwined with her, then we can see that the collective may be behind what we call acts of God. The effects of our beings start with the subtle inner vibration that if not understood can become weaponized.
Suggested Contemplations
Watch the breath. Notice irregularities and pause to examine what causes the heart’s shifts. When the heart is affected the universe is affected. We are one.
Consider that you are broadcasting energy all the time and that your energy touches the world around you. How might being yourself and feeling how you feel affect the world around you?
Could you be a force that is nurturing? How might you generate harmony? In what way does focusing on and regulating your breath relate to these ideas?
Is there something within you that you wish not to share, something that may produce a negative effect on the world around you? What resources may you contain to shift those energies to something positive? What we deem too dark to share becomes shadow. Take the time to consider how you may share what you’ve put into shadow. As you consider the ways to rehearse them in your mind or aloud verbally and notice your breath. When the breath becomes uneven, pause and ask yourself what is taking place.
Consider that you had a face before you were born. This face contains innocence by having not yet met and been affected by the world. Likewise your soul may have come into this world with its own song that it wished to broadcast. Consider your original face and your soul’s song and journal about these facets of yourself. Can you remember them? Take a moment to write a letter to your soul. Get in touch. Tell it how you feel about coming back to it.
